We are currently seeking funding for two critical areas:

Expanding our research programme

This investment will deepen our scientific work into how the immune system influences kidney cancer. It will enable researchers to identify early-detection biomarkers and develop tools that can predict how well patients will respond to treatment.

Investing in advanced genetic technologies and immunology, a major focus of our studies has been on how the immune system changes before and after treatments for kidney cancer. By identifying what switches on the immune system, we could potentially control tumour behaviour more effectively across the body.

If these immune signatures consistently mirror tumour behaviour, this could form the basis of a simple blood test that alerts clinicians to rapidly progressing tumours. This work has the potential to revolutionise early diagnosis and pave the way for personalised, targeted therapies that could transform survival and improve the quality of life for thousands of people.

A next-generation robotic platform for telesurgery

This investment will pioneer the development of one of the UK’s first ultra-low-latency telesurgical links, enabling real-time surgery, AI guidance, and highly precise remote support. We plan to develop and validate the technology that will underpin future robotic telesurgery and make specialist expertise accessible across hospitals.

A live proof-of-concept could be unveiled at the fundraising event, giving supporters an exclusive first look at a transformative advance in surgical care. Your contribution will help bring expert surgical guidance to patients wherever they may be—safely, reliably, and in real time.
